I first photographed the Onesko family a few years ago when their first little one was just a baby. It was not long before I left for Uganda and they found me through a mutual friend. Rob proposed to Erin in front of the same sandy strip of beach they chose for our photo shoot yesterday. They come back here every summer and this year, introduced the newest member of their family to their oldest tradition – the beach.
Erin followed my blog during those long 18 months in Uganda, collecting clothes, books, and toys to send our way. It was so fun to know that their little community up north was loving our babies and cared enough to help. We only see each other once a year for this little annual photo shoot, so I’m always excited to see how Lily has grown up and (this year) meet baby Addy.
There were 227 pictures that I LOVED from this shoot, so you can imagine what a hard time I had choosing which ones to include here.

Lily’s at that stage every kid goes through where it’s hard to get a real smile out of them, but they are experts at silly faces. Below are her renditions of: shocked, grouchy, and confused, to name a few.
