the day is finally here
Ali Rose and I are in Europe
(with her daddy!)
soon to be in New York
and then walking off the plane in Nashville to meet her brothers and sister for the first time
and be scooped up in her mommy’s arms again!
Thanksgiving Day was such an appropriate marker to end this year in Uganda.
There has been much to be thankful for this year.
Some of you know that my prayer for the past few months has been
to get back home in time for Starbucks Christmas cups.
So many times in the past few months circumstances have made me think that it might not happen.
Just last week we hit a hurdle that threatened to keep me here in Uganda for several more months.
And if that had happened, it would have been fine, I know.
But Jesus is good, friends.
He’s in the details and he loves to surprise.
I left Uganda last night at 11:59pm
thinking that I was going to wait until our final US destination to taste that first Starbucks chai.
But wouldn’t you know?
There’s one on our Europe layover.
I have a feeling at least one friend was praying specifically for this surprise.
Even Ali Rose got a sip.
Thanks to each of you who prayed us to this point.
LOVE TO YOU ALL!
