Monthly Archives: April 2011  So yes, friends, our little transitional family is growing once more. When Rachel and I moved here, we never dreamed we’d have the opportunity to be the holding arms for other people’s children while they wait for forever homes. Fortunately, we couldn’t have asked for a job we love more. Yes, it’s hard…there are frustrating…  “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” to their forever mommy. Rachel and I are so grateful and amazed that God chose such a beautiful and Jesus-loving mommy for our sweet twins. We wish you could all be together today, but just wanted you to know that we are thinking about you and talking about you and missing you ALL…  Many of you may know that there have been two beautiful children in our home for the past 8 months. They have recently been joined by two more…who were yesterday officially joined by another. For their protection, I am going to keep this post free of names and faces, but wanted to give you a…  There are no words to describe my excitement when a new member joins our family. Tonight as I sat looking around at all the people eating dinner on our living room floor, the only word to describe my feeling was awe. Five little people eating our questionable meat stir-fry and wiggling their toes against our…  There seems to be very little to celebrate right now. Our time at the clinic is coming to an end and we are both anticipating the sadness of losing our sweet friends there. Our sweet nanny is such a wonderful person, but is an endless source of frustration from 8am-5pm every day as our cross-cultural…
